Re: Show off your truck
Pretty damn nice Groove!
I like all the bins. The bin in the tailshelf looks like it would come in handy. Looks like your loaded down with trouble lights, too!
Be careful with that long ass tail off the rear axle, I'd be hanging that up on everything out here! I would definitely be called in to explain what happened to the rear steps!

Nice looking truck. What's the rotation on the jib? Never used a Hi Ranger, but I hate Altecs.

those rear steps fold up. I just have to remember to stow the steps before driving away. The Jib is intresting. The thing looks like its 10 ft. long. It'll rotate up and down about 150 degrees. You can Manually extend the jib by using the pin. It even has a fine tune hydraulic extension of about a foot. This Boom is a Terix. I'm used to Altec But I kinda like one.

I am going to have to learn how to read, I see where it shows Terix. I like fully hydraulic jibs with 270 degrees rotation.

Nice Truck! How long do you think it's gonna look so purdy and new for, you the only one using it? Did you go out and watch wallenda cross the falls?
Know anyone out of local 1249? Apparently they strung the cable for him.

Re: Show off your truck
we're are mostly 2 man crews. thats kinda the reason I took pictures. that truck will most likely never look that good again. Its gonna get beat-up. If ya do linework it takes it toll on equipment. I'm gonna do my best to keep it nice but Shit happens.BC_boy wrote:Nice Truck! How long do you think it's gonna look so purdy and new for, you the only one using it? IBEW 1249 is the contractor we use the most! we use them almost extensively here in the West. They are top notch and relieable, also safety orientated. I have nothing but the best to say about IBEW 1249.

Re: Show off your truck
Jeese, you must be in Thunder Bay, Buddy. Or Wawa, Marathon, White River or something.
Re: Show off your truck
Nice truck, you will be surprised with the reach you have with it. The photo shows how far over center the lower boom goes. Looks like you have enough bin space for anything. I think these truck are licensed by what they can haul and most the time on the construction side we have minimum bin storage because of the licensing. You are far enough north, is your personal tool bin heated? I see you double chocked you drivers on flat terrain, must be a safety rule. Also I like you idea of the 4 acer when making up the basket on the triplex, I have always used zip ties instead. I always carry a spud-ratchet to line the holes when moving the jib in or out. Now that you have it set up get an ape to keep it that way!

Re: Show off your truck
I wish my personel tool bin was heated, what a great idea. A simple heat exchanger or duct work from the cabin would be great. All our trucks are one man buckets. An easy way to extend or retract the jib is to snap the winch line on to itself pull the pin, rotate the jib down and use the winch to sting in or sting out.
