Position Summary:

This is an entry-level position as a Lineman within Oncor Electric
Delivery. One position will be hired in the Texoma District to report to the Gainesville service center

Selected candidate will be required to enter the Lineman training program
which will take five years to complete and achieve the Journeyman Lineman
position. This training includes the ability to climb wooden poles and work at elevated
heights. During this training period candidate will learn to install, maintain and
construct all types of electrical distribution equipment and must become proficient in these areas.
Selected candidate will be required to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
during and after normal work hours. Candidate will also be required to be available for
after-hour callouts and must be able to work extended hours when necessary.
Candidate will be required to drive commercial type vehicles such as (but not limited to)
F750 bucket trucks and boom trucks. Selected candidate will be required to report
to work within one hour for callouts, at a minimuim. All work will be performed
under the direction of the Crew Supervisor and others as approved by the
M & C Supervisor.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Must hold or be able to obtain a class A CDL Drivers license.
Must be available for overtime work and 24 hour call out.
Must abide by Code Of Conduct at all times.
Good communications skills are required.
Must be committed to Oncor Core Valus.
Commited to learn and abide by the Safety Handbook rules.
Must be able to report to work within one hour.
Positive attitude with the willingness to help is mandatory.
Must support Oncor goals.
Microsoft Office as well as other computer related software ability is a plus.
Must be a positive and productive team player.
